Nick Fury, the head of S.H.I.E.L.D (Strategic Hazard Intervention Espionage Logistics Directorate) assembles a team of people with extraordinary skills to save the world  from destruction. The Avengers have to combine all their superhero powers to face their nemesis Loki and his army. The Avengers came out in theaters in 2012.

The Avengers are:

Iron Man 
Tony Stark is a playboy multimillionaire, owner of Stark Industries (arms factory), and the superhero Iron Man. As weapons expert Tony Stark has made several combat suits to fight against  evil in the world. Unlike other superheroes Tony Stark  doe not hide his identity as Iron Man. 

Thor
The god of thunder is banned to earth. In the fight against evil Thor swings the mighty Hammer Mjolnir. In the fight against his brother Loki, Thor teams up with the Avengers.

Captain America 
Steve Rogers aka Captain America is not only a super patriot but also the first Avenger. As the first Avenger Captain America fights against the Nazis in the second world war and hunts the enemy Red Skull. As leader of the Avengers Captian America helps prevent the end of the world.
 
Hawkeye
Fancis Barton, aka Hawkeye does not have super powers but he is a great archer. Trained by Trickshot, Swordsman and Captian America, Hawkeye became a talented archer and a fighter. Armed with bow and arrow Hawkeye hits his targets. 

Hulk
The Hulk or Dr. Robert Bruce Banner is a the pioneering nuclear physicist. In an experiment with gamma radiation Banner had an accident since then  turns into the Hulk when he gets angry. 

Black Widow
The Agent Black Widow is one of the secret organization SHIELD and was recruited by Nick Fury and the Avengers. The close combat fighter is an excellent agent and a spy who knows how to conceal her weapons as  an everyday item. Black Widow is the only woman in the Avengers.
